Hanover Street Social is part of the Salt House Hospitality Group, which also runs the very good Salt House Tapas in Liverpool city centre. Bone and Block
Situated in the award-winning Duke Street Food and Drink Market in Liverpool city centre, this butcher-cum-steakhouse specialises in grass-fed, dry-aged British beef. They claim it’s “the best beef in the world” so why not settle in and judge for yourself, with classic steak frites or côte de boeuf served with beef dripping fries, or even a steak sandwich? And as it doubles as a butcher, consider it a kind of try-before-you-buy exercise.

Another market-based venture, this time in the Baltic Market on the edge of the trendy Baltic Triangle, Beef on the Block is a one-woman show that keeps it simple: steak and fries with a choice of three sauces, namely peppercorn, chimichurri and gravy.
