With Mother’s Day 2026 fast approaching, you may have already planned what you’re going to cook for the special lady in your life for a Mother’s Day meal.
If you haven’t, however, don’t panic. We’ve devised a simple three-course menu to impress this Mother’s Day, drawing on the Fine Dining Lovers recipe archive.
To start, try a creamy spinach soup, which can be made vegan with a few substitutions if your mum is following a plant-based diet.
For the main course, we suggest a classic cottage pie recipe from creator Lucy Sally Sommer. In fact, it’s her mum’s recipe, making it even more apt. The pie is topped with a garlic butter mash for a delicious twist. For a plant-based alternative, or if you’d simply like to up your vegetable intake, try this satisfying courgette lasagna.
Finally, for dessert, we have a rich chocolate stout cake from creator Alana Laverty, topped with a light mascarpone frosting – Ireland meets Italy. Again, we’ve got a fantastic plant-based alternative: vegan panna cotta with almond milk and pears.
Delicious and sure to impress this Mother’s Day.
