The culinary world gathered in Las Vegas for the first-ever North America’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, a new regional ranking from the team behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. At a live ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas, the countdown revealed Atomix as the No. 1 restaurant in North America.
Key highlights
- Top winner: Atomix in New York was named No. 1 in North America.
- Other standouts: Mon Lapin, from Montreal, Canada and Restaurant Pearl Morissette, from Ontario, Canada, rounded out the podium. Together, the top trio reflects the cross-current shaping North American dining right now: tasting-menu precision balanced with ingredient-driven storytelling; kitchens that prize research, terroir and seasonality; and a service style that feels generous rather than austere. Expect Atomix’s win to spark fresh debate on regional influence and on how diners define 'best' in 2025.

William Drew, Director of Content at 50 Best, said the awards are “for celebrating talent and teamwork, to shine a light on the rich diversity of dining experiences across this great region, and ultimately to unveil the credible list of superb restaurants that will inspire and delight food lovers from across North America and around the world.”
The inaugural North America’s 50 Best list reflects the breadth and creativity of the region’s dining scene – from chef-driven tasting menus to ingredient-focused restaurants redefining hospitality.
This first edition doesn’t just rank restaurants, it sets a baseline for how North America will be mapped in the years ahead: rigorous in craft, diverse in style and increasingly defined by hospitality as thoughtful as the cooking.
“This is not designed to be a fine dining list,” said Drew, “but simply a list of brilliant places to eat. The only exceptions in North America are two restaurants that have topped the list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants over its history, namely The French Laundry and Eleven Madison Park. As a result, those two iconic establishments joined the best of the best... Hall of Fame, which means they are not part of this ranking.”
