The award-winning pastry genius will unveil his first patisserie outside of France on 14 February 2022, at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge

The suspense is over: in an Instagram post, French patissier Cédric Grolet has revealed the opening date of his first store abroad. Cédric Grolet at The Berkeley: French Patisserie, will be inaugurated in London on 14 February 2022.

On social media, the pastry chef said: "I feel like a kid! – After 18 months of working with architects, teams, partners, suppliers… London @the_berkeley is on the home stretch before the opening!. I really want to share more with you! My new flower and fruit identity is finally seeing the light of day! Be patient and above all give me strength for these final few days! Opening February 14 at 8 a.m.!"

As Grolet points out in his post, the shop located within The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, will mainly offer the pastry chef's signature trompe-l'oeil fruit as well as pastry flowers, which the 30-something year old also offers in his Opera, Paris store. In one of his Instagram photos, we also see that Grolet will offer London customers his famous hazelnut, lemon and vanilla flowers. We can already imagine the queues that will form in front of the shop.
