The 15-Michelin-starred French chef and king of sauces is set to open his debut London restaurant next autumn

Multi Michelin-starred French chef Yannick Alléno is due to open his first restaurant in London in the autumn of next year.

The new restaurant will be the third Pavyllon, which the chef already operates in Paris and Monaco, and will be located in the heart of Mayfair, possibly at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Fellow three-Michelin-starred French chef Hélène Darroze, of Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, was among the first to congratulate the 53-year-old on the news on Instagram: "Welcome in Mayfair!"

The news lands in the same moment that Alléno has also announced the end of his 12-year collaboration with the Royal Mansour in Marrakech.

Alléno has a portfolio of restaurants, from Asia to the Middle East, and holds 12 Michelin stars in France and three abroad, but has yet to break the London market with his inspired modern French cooking. Forthcoming openings are promised across Europe in the near future.
