Sat Bains

Satwant Singh 'Sat' Bains is one of the UK’s best-known chefs, and is the chef-owner of two-Michelin-star restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham. Born in Derby, he started cooking from an early age and credits Marco Pierre White’s autobiography White Heat as inspiration. Bains won the Roux Scholarship in 1999 and worked in some of the best restaurants in London, and for a time in France, before returning to England and opening his own restaurant in Nottingham.
